About Us
Buy the Pound Bakery is a local Chicago spot producing delicious desserts including our Luscious Lemon Pound Cake and Traditional Southern Caramel Cake. Charmaine (the owner and baker) started baking cakes for her children's birthday parties over 20 years ago. This quickly grew into baking for a variety of events hosted by friends and family. In 2022, Charmaine decided to register as a Cottage Bakery, and the business began to grow. In 2023, Buy the Pound Bakery moved to a commercial kitchen where Charmaine creates a variety of tasty treats for you and your family.
